About
Our community faces tough problems that need real solutions, not more political games. Families are struggling with rising costs, small businesses are under pressure, crime and antisemitism are on the rise, and we’re still rebuilding after the worst natural disaster in our district's history. At the same time, Washington remains stuck, failing to fix immigration, fueling division, and putting partisanship over progress.
I’m Dory Benami, and I’m running for Congress to change that. Our district deserves a representative who brings people together to get things done.
I will fight for economic recovery that truly works for everyone. Families and small businesses deserve both immediate relief and long-term policies that create opportunity, not just talking points.
Our community is still rebuilding, and we need federal support and infrastructure investments that make us stronger and more resilient. For those who lost everything in the Palisades Fire, I will push to cut through red tape so help reaches families and businesses quickly while also working to prevent future disasters with better forest management and infrastructure improvements.

Public safety must always come first. That means supporting law enforcement while ensuring accountability, investing in crime prevention programs, and addressing the root causes of crime so every family can feel safe.
Our children deserve schools where they can focus on learning without fear of violence, drugs, or disruption. I will advocate for mental health resources and safety measures that make our schools secure and supportive, while fighting special-interest activism and policies that make children and families unsafe.
The rise in antisemitism across the country is deeply concerning, and I will work to strengthen hate crime laws, increase security funding for at-risk communities, and support education programs that combat all forms of bigotry.
Our immigration system should be secure and humane. That requires stronger border security, fair legal pathways for immigration, and a process that treats people with dignity while enforcing the law consistently.
The homelessness crisis demands coordinated action and federal support for state and local initiatives. I will push for more funding for mental health care, substance abuse treatment, affordable housing, and job training programs that address the real causes of homelessness.
America’s partnership with Israel, our strongest democratic ally in the Middle East, is essential for stability and security. I will work to keep that relationship strong and bipartisan.
Finally, Washington must move beyond gridlock. I am committed to building coalitions across party lines and advancing legislation that focuses on results for working families, not empty soundbites.
I know these challenges because I’ve lived them. I grew up in the Valley after my family immigrated from Israel when I was two. As a small business owner and the son of an entrepreneur, I’ve faced sleepless nights trying to make payroll and navigating complex regulations. As the husband of an immigrant, I have seen firsthand how broken and frustrating our immigration system is.
As a father of a young child, I think every day about the kind of world my daughter will grow up in. I worry about whether our schools will be safe, whether our community will be free from hate and violence, and whether public policy will protect families like mine instead of putting them at risk. These concerns are not abstract to me, they are deeply personal.
That is why I am committed to bringing people together, cutting through division, and delivering real results for our community.
It is time for leadership that solves problems and puts people first, not politics
